Ive been doing some searching on tinterweb for the perfect rims for my Z.

I have a list of 'they'll do nicely' rims and I know the style I'm after.

I'm 99% sure I'll be going for 19s and I believe 9" +25 and 10" +40 will fit nicely.

However, I've seen so many pics of slammed motors with massive dish. I want that look! But how?

I don't want the crazy camber and ridiculously stretched tyres, but I do want hooooge dish!

There are a set of work VS-XX on driftworks at the mo which are gorgeous. 18s unfortunately but I might still be tempted. But how can I make rims like these fit? Just a case of rolling the arches? I have adjustable everything and coil overs.

Thanks

I've found some wheels in Japan.

Fronts are 9" +18. Rears are 10" +21.

If I'm right enough, the fronts will stick out about an extra 7mm. Rears an extra 19mm. Are these sizes realistic with a bit of arch work?

Tyres are 235 and 265 which is what I'm running at the mo

depends what you call a 'bit' of arch work. They'll need more than a simple roll of the lip, so pulling will be needed, might need a flare on the rear but suspect if you stick to 265's it should be ok

Hi Jaffa, I'd be happy with a bit of flare, similar to your rear arches. Makes the rear much more aggressive. I just really wanted to confirm that they aren't waaaaay to wide. If i'm right, they'll be about 19mm out? 265s will help, maybe a little camber?

What size are your rears?

Whats your thoughts on the fronts? They'll likely be 7mm or so out. Is this do-able? I'd imagine i'd want to avoid any arch work up front?

I run 19x10.5 et35 on the rear with 305 tires, roll, pull and flare needed

Fronts are 19x10.5 et25 with a 265, roll & pull needed on the standard arch, or fits under a 20mm wider front arch. I actually founf my rolled metal arches gave me more clearance ont he front than the wider fibreglass ones.

Another point is that R888 tires are generally wider than ther brands as the sidewall is so stiff

wow! So the wheels i have my eye on will actually sit further out than yours? The tyres will make a big difference though.

Your fronts are way wider though. Hopefully i'll be ok with the standard front arches.

I've just spoken to the bodyshop guy though. He seems to think he'll make it work no problem lol

i have the same idea in mind, if you do it please put some pictures up matey :)

oh, i'll do it alright :)

The wheels should be here within 2 weeks so i'll need to get em fitted so that the bodyshop can do their thing. I'll try to post some pics up as i go but i dont really want to give anything away before its finished.
