I have just noticed that the zed i was asked to look at about a month ago by another member has been put up for sale again.

It did sell on ebay last time and obviously the new owner has realised what an old dog he won.

just a warning to anyone out there that was considering on bidding on it, don't bother.

he's blatently lied on the new ebay listing about non leaking ttops, as when i saw it, it had a small pond in the passenger side footwell.

on the face of the pictures it looks alright... however the honesty point show off some potential serious issues.

He might not have lied. Maybe the targas dont leak ...... BUT the heater matrix does!!!!:glare:

good point pete. didn't even think of that:oops:. either way though, there is still no mention of the wet floor in the advert.

i did notice that, i also noticed the marks on the front throttle body pipe close to the rad cap, looks like its either gushed at one point, or someone might of removed the cap while the system was under pressure.

he might not of realised it, in the hot weather we have had (when we have it lol) that might of dried up, or he might not know the two are related.

i just contacted the seller about the car to see what he had to say, here is what i said:-

hello mate, i remember going to see this car when it was up for sale in colchester. is the engine runnin properly now as it was very lumpy before. also have the targa's been fixed as the carpet was soaking on the passenger side when i last saw it. thanks, dave.

Here is what he said:-

hi fella the last chap hadnt a clue as to y it wernt runnin properley,i tookm it apart and found that the wireing for the injector on middle bank wer rotten, found alot of split hoses and the rocker gasket was non xsistent even had to replace the fuel pipe with correct grade fuel pipe and not jus 3mm rubber pipe, car now runs sweet but still slightly lumpy on tick but drives real smooth now,and the roof hasnt leaked since i had it cos i had a hose going over it to check i think it may have been a water hose that ive repaired or something, turbos work ok its just the issue of loss of water now but am driving it around just keep topping it up.

so maybe he isn't as dishonest as i first thought.

the targa has leaked before, its easy to tell on the tweed seats, there is a faint water mark on the drivers seat so its leaking at the top where the targa joins the A piller seal.
