NEW ALLOYS!

Ive just imported a set of 18" Enkei Phelanx alloys from the US. 8x18 front and 10x18 rears. They arrived yesterday and look brilliant! But before i put them on the car is there any kind of polish or sealant i can use on them that will help prevent brakedust and crap gathering on them and make them easier to clean in the future?

Also i need tyres, is 225/40 18 on the front and 275/35 18 on the rears correct, and what makes are recommended?

nice!!

just checked my Stapletons trade list for 275/35 18 's - not even listed!! (not a complete list tho)

got 265's & 295's listed, bridgestone S03's, conti sportcontacts or pirelli Pzero's.

the bridgestones seem to be a popular tyre among the zed brigade.

Hi Who did you use in the US for the alloys, were they any good and how much did it cost you for postage etc. A good place to see the tyre combinations available is the zcentre website

I used Hookupshop.com, the owner Tom owns an rx7 which was featured on one of the japanese car mags over here, he was very helpful and got me a cracking rate with ups for postage £250 for the set of four and i got them within five days of ordering!! The dreaded tax was still about £200 though frown.gif

In my opinion though it is worthwhile doing as it still worked out cheaper than getting say a set of Blitz wheels over here and i couldnt find anyone who would supply me the ehkei wheels anyway so not many people if any will have them!

Paul c, could u give me any prices for the 225/40 18 and the 265's.

Bazz,

Vaseline is the best you can do to help stop brake dust destroying the lacker.

Just smear on a thin layer.
