Hi guys Stripped wings, front and rear bumper etc from my car,

wondering why there off, what's the best stuff to paint or spray behind them and underneath car and wheel arches with.

Have no rust and wanna make sure I don't get any.

Gonna be doing it on my drive, is there somthing I can paint on maybe less messy then spray with a few dust sheets.

When it was painted done arches with I think it was called it shoots, but my neighbours will kill me for spraying if it goes everywhere,

Seen tins of underseal is this any good.

Any help appreciated, thank u.

waxoyl eveything lol!! . I did the same as you at the beghining of the year. you will need a pressure tin and a pressure nozzel. its a spray but really easy to controll and its hard to make a mess :)

Do u buy it with pressure nozzle/tin or is it somthing I buy seperate,

can that be used under the whole car too. Maybe hard spraying on axle stands.

Cheers for your reply.

I did mine on my back. get it high enough and its fine.

I used a mixture of underseal and this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WAXOYL-7-LITRE-KIT-High-Pressure-Can-Spray-lance-CLEAR-7L-car-underseal-seven-/170857048289?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27c7dfa8e1 But i did all mine in black insted of clear.

Waxoyl never drys so i used all mine in the hard to reach places then underseal on all the places you might visit again as its not as sticky lol!!

Will do mate,

what's the worse that can happen, i'd just be rustproofing all the neighbours car lol.

It's worth having a wee browse through the classic car forums, those guy's know there stuff. What I think you will find is that Waxoyl is not rated anywhere near some of its competitors.

I spent ages surfing the net for recommendations at the time I was replacing my sill sections. I finally went with the Bilt Hamber product but the others are highly recommended.

There are also some good anti rust paints out there which may suit your purpose better than a wax based spray. I used the Eastwood rust inhibitor paint from this site as well as the cavity wax.

I did the inside of my sills and arches and various other places with bilt hamber cavity wax. It's really easy to use and is highly reccomended if you do a bit of googling. I'm sure they do an underseal equivalent.

Bilt Hamber is one of the very best. Dinitrol is good stuff so is 3M cavity wax. Waxoyl isnt as good these but its better than nothing. Just my opinion based on restorations and trying them out over the last 25 yrs. I used to think waxoyl was brilliant stuff till i used these.
