Hi,

On the NA motor I took it for an MOT, passed fine, but on the emmisions test, the drivers bank of cylinders was running at .70% CO levels and the passenger bank at .19% CO.

Is putting a NA ECU into self diagnostic mode the same as a TT, and does anyone have an idea as to what it might be causing the probs?

Mark

Not sure about the NA ECU diag, but presume it is the same as a TT.

There is a distinct possibility that you have a duff O2 sensor. Should be shown up by a ConZult or Techtom.

hi, smile.gif

it could be a cat on it's way out!,

if you have cats still on it that is

mine reads 0.22co on rhs and 1.84co on lhs

took the cats off and both read 3.1co out of downpipes

It is missing slightly on tickover, Dazza said he thinks it is a injector/plug connection!!!!

Will Have a llook and see, it is an import NA and I didn;t think running it normal gas would make a difference, but thought I would try 97 octane and it makes a big diff!!!

Mark,

Not sure if you have tried Optimax, but I picked up a tank tonight and my NA seemed to like it. Not sure about fuel mileage increases as I only drove about 70 miles after filling up.

Mark, I have the same problem with mine.

must be a "common" fault on these things wink.gif

I've noticed with the conzult that the O2-sensors are probably causing this, since the readings are too high.

I haven't replaced the sensors yet, so not 100% sure yet.
