exhaust stainless

 

and yes detonation!! whats best to do to get rid of it?? was fine with the origional chip, should i try optimax? failling that i will replace my origional ecu!!

Optimax or any super unleaded will help, failing that u could buy my unused aquamist water injection kit off me, that 'll keep the temp down!

 

is it UK car or import?

also u might wanna try those iridium plugs, if its still doing it with optimax SE could have mapped the chip wrong, mapped for bigger injectors maybe??

optimax its a uk car, about the water mist it always rains here in wales so i get rain on the intercoolers 24/7 LOL!!

hmm, people say optimax doesnt make a difference on UK cars, still, you have nothing to lose trying it, afterall its all to do with the difference in ECU.

 

When he says water injection, he means actually injecting water into the cylinders along with the air/fuel mix, not exactly sure of the technicals of these kits, if im not mistaken a guy with an MR2 who attended the dyno day last years had water injection fitted, and i think it did make a difference to the performance.

But if i were you i'd take it back to SE and get them to look at it/do something about it before throwing in 60 quid of plugs to possibly find it makes no difference...

hi,

first thing i would do is check the timing,,

heard people running this boost on standard chip without det..

next i'd try super unleaded,,

if it still persists try using an injector cleaner(or even better get them cleaned professionaly)

oh and one more thing change the fuel filter might help
