im not sure on the clutch pedal, as i didnt have to touch mine, but just T into the break vacuum, it works wonders and the clutch isnt as heavy.

You need a non return valve really for it to be affective otherwise your reducing vacuum to the brake servo which can be dangerous

well, if he doesnt have one im sure i have a spare one way valve in the garage.

You can T in after the brake vacuum pipes one way valve

ill get a photo for you tomorrow lol, ive got mine T in with 2 one way valves, one feeding the break servo, the other the clutch servo, works fine.

cheers ian thats exactly what i need, i think there will be a one way valve with the pipework i got with the conversion.

you T in after the One Way Valve all ready fitted on the pipe work ..

as for clutch adjust theres a bolt on the peddle that pushes the Master cylinder rod in ... thats where u adjust it

The rod that that comes from the clutch pedal and presses the clutch master cylinder is also adjustable at the end that goes into the clutch master cylinder , there is a domed nut on the end of the rod that screws in and out to take up slack in the mechanism , i did what a few others have posted and tee,d into the vac feed for the servo and fitted a one way valve , worked a treat . HTH

I really think it's worth the few extra pence ( or even pounds) to fit a second non return valve. When my manual conversion was done they T off after the existing non return, about a month later the clutch servo went and i lost assist to the brakes - very scarey

Of course if its a tt you can swap the balance bar to a manual one which has a take off for clutch servo, stil need non return valve though.

As an aside, i'm still of the opinion that short connecting hozes of a t biece are a contributing factor in a lot of clutch servo failures in converted cars. When mine broke i talked to 4 other members who had servo failure after a manual conversion, none had the stock vacuum pipes or tanks fitted. There was also a thread from someone who reported uneven assistance and pedal pulsing till they extended the vacuum pipe.

Nissan put in he extra pipe and tanks for a reason. One of these was obviously that you could still be on boost whilst clutching, which would affect the amount of assistance

When adjusting the clutch pedal it is important to first unscrew the pedal switches and back them off so they are not affecting pedal travel. Then adjust the pedal ( make sure you adjust in the correct direction, i spent ages convinced i was going he correct way, but was not) then when happy adjust the switches back in.

There is also adjustment on the servo rod , but ive neve had the need to adjust it
