Strange electrical issue....

I have just been out and about, and I kept noticing my radio display flickering on and off, (the radio was turned down but on), then a little later, every time I accelerated or hit a bump in the road, my headlights, dash lights, radio and engine would cut off for a split second then come back on, sometimes everything cutting off a few times a second for a few seconds. So, what could cause this? I can't really think off a way I could replicate this fault. I got home and checked around the fusebox and passenger footwell for any evidence of water ingress, but all seems well....

Any ideas peeps?

Cheers, Tudor...

Sounds like a dodgy earth, more likely in the fuse board area of the footwell, relay board behind fuses.

Well i found it pretty much as soon as i opened the bonnet. The battery hold down clamp had become loose and worked its way across to the positive terminal on the battery, and being grounded, it was just a fraction way from it and was touching and arking with the slightest bump or engine movement. Couldve easily caught fire!!!
