It's not v fast or exciting but after a lot of discussion (& after throwing a lot of money we don't have on older cars) we bit the bullet & bought an almost new daily driver for the next few years. It's on finance (gulp, I hate having debt) but its still cheaper taking into account all the running costs, than our previous cars. Just need to keep at it at Uni for the next two years (just got 80% & 71% in my exams, yay!) then I can get back into a Zed with any luck!

That's a good choice. It's practical but good looking and unusual. In fact it looks pretty angry from the front! A great stop gap till you get your zed :-)

Agreed!!

You've done the right thing Jane - it's nice and new so no impending problems; plus it will still be under manufacturer's warranty for a bit yet. I know what you mean about finance - I would not fancy that either - but it wil certainly see you through college!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

And well done in your exams!

Yep, congrats Jane. Nice car, and as has been said, will last you until you are in the position for another Zed, good choice.

Cheers guys. Pretty happy with it so far. Especially 45 mpg on a mixed run!! I keep forgetting its got sod all power tho so a couple of times I've gone to overtake & forgotten that its a bit gutless & had to drop it right down & floor it to make it past! So I miss the power of the Lexus (? Lexi?!). But it does look mean which I love, I like a nice masculine face on a car & there is something sharky about this that I like. Eek at the finance but it had to be done. Fingers crossed we both find jobs soon as we qualify so we can get saving for fast cars lol x

And well done in your exams!

Ooh, I missed that bit...

Well done Jane - I'm sure you'll do just fine in the rest your course too....!! You have that ZX to buy yourself once it is all over, so if that's not an incentive.....:whistling:
