Hi all,

 

I have just performed an emergency upgrade of the forum software as a security flaw was discovered recently

that could have potentially allowed un authorised access to our systems.

 

This as you guessed was unscheduled and un announced but it was to the benefit of the clubs security.

 

I here fore would like to apologise to our member base if you were accessing the forums after 11:30am and had issues.

 

This upgrade has brought us fully up to date with vbulletins latest release.

Was it something to do with all that weird text at the bottom of the screen I sometimes got?? or is that something else?

This was a couple of months ago now and the update was to prevent security issues

not because there was one or because the forum was experiencing any issues!

 

I do these updates as they are released by the authors of vbulletin to keep the clubs

forums fully upto date, it's when the forum doesn't get updated and a there is known

faults that the club can become a target.

 

im closing this thread now as this was done months ago and it's causing confusion to

people just reading it thinking it was recent!
