Tension rod / lower arm repair

The problem of lower arm metal fatigue where the tension rod arm bolts through the lower arm was identified some years ago by our very own Mac1 and the subsequent issue with solid poly-bushes.

The manufactures of the tension bushes went through a series of modifications to resolve the issue and finally arrived with a more compliant poly bush ( kind of defeats the object!!) the zeds effected were I guess dealt with and the problem seemed to of got less common.

However there is the odd few still displaying the metal fatigue problem and with lower arms retailing at £200+ each its an expensive repair, but no need to go spending near on £400 to sort the problem.

Zed in today had the very same problem and some time ago we made up some templates for repair plates so knocked a couple up and the fix is permanent and easy to do at home if required, the repair tightens up the movement caused by the wobbly metal and may even be beneficial for all lower arms...maybe.
