New LED Rear Quad Lights In Carbon Fiber Andy Isherwood - The Whole Story!!

I've always thought the 300ZX rear lights were way behind the stunning lines of the rest of the car. A bit of a mid eighties design arcing back to the 70's trans am look and for me a little too fussy. Why couldn't they make the rears as modern and sexy as the fronts? so began my quest to do something a little more interesting and my inspiration was coming from the traditional sports car look of twin red circles either side i.e Ferrari, Corvette, Skyline.

The question was Where from? and how?!! so, I started looking around until one day at The Goodwood Breakfast Club I came across a KTM Crossbow!! Bingo!! Just what wanted!! Now I just had to source them........

All I could see was that they were made by Hella. Then I found them everywhere.......

Yes, we can do that but what do you think of the lights!!? LOL!

Ive seen these in the flesh, its certainly a nice job and the bigger lights help pull the effect off, the only problem i feel personally is there is just too much space between the lights on each side with nothing happening. the badged look helps a bit. i suppose if there was like a raised bit between them it would break up the desert in the middle.

Other wise stonking job, appreciate the work gone into them and the look you have achieved, but wouldn't go down that route my self unless i could close that gap more with out loosing the wide look.

I think the stock rear lights especially at night, help to achieve a wide look at the rear.

I like it mate its different from the usual , looks great with the zed badge :thumbup1:

No no non no! The black strip makes it look wider that was the whole point. I think having something in the middle (apart from a small z badge) would make it too busy again. I must say that seeing lights at nght is a real game changer!! You'll have to wait and see! JAE?

I say better with the badge.

Noted!

Hey Andy,

I think the Windsor show is normally Sep time, but best check.

Will you be going this year, its a bit low on jap stuff, just boring Porsches ect...

Let me know when you selling the exhaust, maybe inetrested, swb ????

Maybe you could post a vid to hear what its like?

Any other bits available??

Your cars stance looks the business.

Have you got a list of mods youve done, may want to pinch a few:ninja:

Will you be going to the annual group meet this year or any others?

Do they have a regular meet or just cruises? Missed the reading one just gone:huh:

Catch you there if I can.

Matt

Again not my personal taste, keep thinking of those lambo light kits the zed centre does. But I havd to say yours looks more integrated more finishdd, and no yh like a billy bolt on. I must r ws commend you get the black bit on the spoiler underside as it will soften up the harsh line of the boot lid and tie the rear end together so much more neatly.

Yes, we can do that but what do you think of the lights!!? LOL!

Well seeing as you ask.... Personaly i think round lights ruin a perfectly good zed

Looks good on yours mate
