Exactly mate - all the more reason to stay away I'd say.....

Richard:tongue_smilie:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Could also have something to do with cherished transfers, could have had the plate swapped about.

Just wait for tomomontana to have a look, he will be able to gauge a tremendous amount about the seller/car when they meet up face to face from hopefully the address that is on the log book - that'll be a start

i wonder if tomtom got around to it!

hello mate, i'm not a satnav

i went round to have a look about an hour ago.

the engine isn't running on 5 cylinders but is runnin pretty rough. i definatley think it's down to electrical connection somewhere rather than anything more serious.

the bloke seemed pretty honest to me, he's sunk alot of money into trying to get the engine sorted but obviously not with a mechanic who knows what he's doing.

there has blatently been someone havin a try at sorting the problem recently as alot of the top electrical connectors, pipework and plastic cover have been unscrewed and not bothered to be put back together properly.

someone who knows what they are doing could probably sort this out quite quickly and easily.

the body work on the other hand is pretty shabby. although no problems with the dreaded metal worm except under the rear spoiler (usual problem)!

it would definatley need a respray as there are scratches, scraps and a couple of small dents. the front bumper would need replacing or repairing as is broken on both sides at the bottom (he said it was caused by the speed bump at the end of his road) also all the lights at the back would need replacing as they were all cracked and scratched (i would change them personally because they look untidy).

inside the car was ok but also a bit shabby. whoever had looked at it before me had pulled the carpet back to look at the ecu (could have been the seller as he stated he had run a diognostic check it came back with code 55) and left it like that. when i had a look, the carpet felt damp, leading me to believe that the roof also leaks although the seller said that it didn't.

all in all, personally i would only buy this car just to break, as by the time you've spent the money to get it up to scratch both mechanically and cosmetically, you probably could have bought one that is ready to jump in and go.

everything that i have written is only my opinion though so it's completely up to you what you decide.

hope that i have been some help to you.

Dave

Hi Mate,

Firstly didnt mean i that way! (satnav way)

Thanks a lot for going around and having a look, from your advice it looks like its a no go. So guess ill just have to wait it for the right z to come along. Thanks again! Owe you one!

you didn't seem rude mate, so don't worry about it. waiting for the right z to come along is safest bet mate, and i'm sure it will. i rushed in first time i bought a z and it turned out to be a complete lemon! luckily for me i managed to sell it for slighty more than i bought it for so everything worked out ok.

as the saying goes, all good things come to those who wait.

anyway good luck with finding the right car, and when you do find it, post up some photo's for the rest of us :thumbup1:

I am thinking of getting it from one of our members see two atm, one for 2500 and the other for a 1000 put with all the interior ripped out!

the £1000 pound one seems like a bargain to me too! i would have it if i had the money!!! although it has no front bumper. but if you do buy it then stop in colchester on your way back as my new bumper is being fitted next week so i'll have a spare standard 1 in silver.
