Took the back wheels off this afternoon to investigate a strange noise.......

Pass side has been rubbing on the fuel filler gaurd

The tyres are 265/35/18. Are these too wide?

The rims are 18-9JJ, so the question is, do I get thinner tyres like 255? adjust the plastic gaurd or fit a spacer?

The annoying thing is that I have 2 front tyres on order as I wanted to match the rear :headvswal

At least I spotted it though as I wouldnt want that going pop along the motorway..

Looks to me like the tyre size is ok, you just have a damaged/faulty tyre.
