Exhaust and induction

Ok this has probably been done to the death but i just can't search the forums properly.

I want a new exhaust and induction kit, could someone please list the pros and cons of each, im more interested in possible damage i could cause to my engine as its done 100+k miles. A freind of mine with an Mr2 has constant fueling problems when first trying to start the car and I think it may be related to his induction kit.

I think you'll find that on an otherwise stock car you will not get any noticable difference in the performance of the car by fitting induction and exhaust. Maybe very slight...

As far as damage to the engine is concerned, I don't know of any that do BUT I do know of a certain one where the filter can come off its base and allow unfiltered air to creep past behind it... The make? I'll let someone else fill you in on that wink.gif

As far as the MR2 of your mates is concerned, YES it is the induction kit causing his cold start problem - my m8 had exactly the same problem. Maybe changing the heat rating of the spark plugs would help....

Usualy those 2 mods go together on NA cars but for turbos the amound of air going in is taken care by what else the turbos so the induction mod will not produse as match as ecpected(unless u r running on ~600hp), be very careful though with the exhaust cause I made a mod to my zed and after using two 60mm pipes from the cat onwords it looks like ive lost 20 to 30 hp!!!!

good luck
