i know my cherry red zed never did this, so wondering if this is because timing or something, but noticed when i accelerate, get to speed, if i come off the gas, the car kinda quitly pops and gurgles like you hear race cars do, if i coast in gear with foot off the clutch like im letting the engine slow the car, it does it but feels like the car is trying to "bunny hop" (like when a new driver doesnt quite pull off right).

not sure im explaining this correctly, if i hold the throttle at the speed i want, it doesnt happen, if i floor it, i have to hold on, so its definitely not down on power, im just wonder if this is "pinging" that i hear about, but cant seem to find an explination for.

I have both my O2 sensors disconnected, as one is faulty (yes should of changed them when the gearbox was off, only remembered when me and mark had just put the bloody thing back on, so it wasnt coming off again lol)

Just never had that when it was a auto.

Also looks like i need to go single prop at some point as im getting small but very constant vibration at around 50 to 60mph.

undo the prop and move it one location .. see if it goes if it doesnt do it again

if that exhaust is coming off again, im going single prop

it is one of the most annoying exhausts ive ever had due to the H section in it, either one side fits the down pipes or the other does, i have to basically argue with the exhaust to get it to fit. usually with a breaker bar.

my main concern is this popping sound im hearing from the exhaust when i come off the throttle, its very low base and race car-y if that makes any sense. like when you hear a rally car come off the gas.

If im getting low sounding pops and crackles on the overrun, surely that means im over fueling?

Faulty closed throttle switch? (Unless im making it up but im sure there was an entry on conzult which monitored a closed throttle switch?)

Or throttle position sensor perhaps?

Did you change the ECU when you changed over? I know an auto ecu can run a manual car but I wonder if your auto ecu has been chipped with a map that does something weird with autoboxes to keep more power on or something?

The bunnyhopping sounds like the input shaft on the gearbox, mine does something similar.

the popping and gurgling is unburnt fuel on the over run ..sticking throttle cable cam not returning or not fully closing , or throttle position sensor,

i know it sounds good but will wreck the exhaust eventualy ....bunny hopping is usualy as said groover probably the input shaft on the box or clutch dragging or grabbing slightly

aah i do have a chipped auto ecu, mapped for higher red line and higher boost and yes i seem to remember reading something about the TPS on a auto needing doing something or other due to it being Auto and going to manual.

as for the bunny hopping, i take it, unless the gearbox comes off to sort out the issue, im going to have that problem. it does have the manual spigot bush in place, isn't that supposed to stop it doing that?

Interesting about the tps......mine hasnt been touched since going from auto to manual....

Mine pops and burbles on the overrun, I put it down to the divorced exhaust system.has a gsxr1100 that sounded awesome on overrun :)

i no longer have a divorced exhaust so it cant be that, though i do have a mahoosive exits on mine

i have 2 spare TPS's but cant remember for the life of me, what one is TT / N/A or if there is even a manual TPS in there.

just sorted out my heavy clutch issue, fitted the one way valve, so both the break and clutch have there own seperate ones and plumbed it into the top of the plenum, the difference is emence, gone from what felt like trying to push a 1 ton weight around with my left foot, to something that needs little pressure to get moving.

SO glad i didnt leave that too long lol

Now to sort out this popping on over run

So is there a difference between auto and manual tps's or are they all the same?.

dunno, been trying to figure out where i spotted about the TPS but cant frigging find it now, typical

Was going to fit my dump valves but it decided to p it down and thunder at the same time, so thought better of it.

only thing though, is didnt touch the TPS, consultz is still saying its 0.45 so thats all good, and taking the pipes off and having a look, its defiantly closing the butterflys properly. just seems odd why im getting over run burble. does sound quite cool though.

Did you sort out your goosehonking recircs bud? Maybe that has something to do with it?

not yet, ZX-TT was kind enough to send me through some OEM recircs, but i managed to get some Vent to atmos ones instead that will be getting installed, just need dry weather now

Once I'm feeling better I'll pop over and you can take me out for a drive bud :)

I would have loved to mate but I don't think you'd appreciate me blowing chunks all over the inside of your zed

I do have working windows, just try not to get it on the paint, you might strip it

what? by making the car rust quicker before it gets done?

TPS is the same for all models Ian

well i aways thought that, but someone once questioned it saying the N/A and TT had different ones.

well its not the TPS anyway as that is sitting steady at 0.45v bud, so must me something else making it do it, it could be they all do it, but due to the size of my exhaust its just amplifying the sound so im now noticing it. ive only ever had this exhaust on this zed and it was always an auto up to this point.

Maybe it's just the ECU re-learning mate since you've now got a manual on there. Might just need some time to settle?
