Recirculating dump valves

Im in the process of putting my Z back to standard and am wondering what peoples views are on the standard recirc dump valves?

 

I have these hard pipes going to the throttle bodies that had injectors plumbed in. Im unsure whether aftermarket ones can be fitted to these or do they normally come with a mounting flange you tig to the pipe yourself?

 

How does the plumbing work on recircs, all I know is there is a pipe about an inch diameter blocked off coming from my intercooler to throttle body pipe. I need an education on this please....:biggrin:
