Hi, i've got the boards from the 2 pod units off the dash, dis assembled, and it looks like its had the diode mod applied (i think) it has resistors added. my one question is can i add voltage to the board to "light" it up, 12v, 5v...if so where do i put it.. Just trying to check it as i go along. Is it that simple..

any help would be helpful.

When I did my led conversion, if you get a multimeter and put it on one side of a led, trace it through to one of the pins, and do the same with the other side of the led and you've got your connections, or just put power to one of your leds and I think they will all light up (I think)....

H Rich, what is it you want to do, add leds? light the bulbs?

You can place a 12v pos and neg to the copper track at the bulb holder. A bulb will light either polarity, an led will light only one way. There are resistors on the board anyway so might not have been modded, if you can be more specific or post up a pic.

Graham, Hi. hope all is well. Well i've got these pods which look like they've had your mod, and i'm going along making sure all is well, i dont want to keep plugging them back in to see if they work, so just want to know if there are some pins at the bottom i can wire up to 12v to check as i go along.?

Hi Rich, yes fine thanks and you?

If ive done them, then there will be a resistor on the back of the leg on each bulb holder on the drivers pod and soldered on the aircon pod.

You can place a 12v feed to the bulb holder tracks on the board, so aircon + on the resistor and - on the track. For the drivers pod with the back of the pod facing you, the 2 outer pins at the multiplug are the feed for the leds, + upper pin - lower pin. HTH

Cheers

Graham
