As above, sort of following on from the best UK holiday thread lol.

Ive been searching for weeks on various websites for the best deal and dont do too bad, IF, it was just the two of us, but she wants to take the two boys on holiday and i find the minute you add kids into the equation, the price rockets straight up.

I dont know why on flight bookings you need to put 2 kids, because regardless of age ( apart from a baby) the price is still like 4 adult prices.

Looked at all the options, fully inclusive through to self catering or hiring a villa or apartment.

So the question is: If you have kids and have taken or thinking of taking a holiday abroad, whats the best site to use.

Best sort of price is around a grand for a week all inclusive or two weeks S/C for around the same.

Cheers

On the beach is usually a good one for holidays mate , especially to the canary island all inclusive , have used it previously and was well happy with the prices : )

Someone on here had their own apartment who rented it out. I am sure Minorca rings a bell. Cant remember who it was though! (not much help here am I??)

I have a place in Fuengirola on the Costa Del Sol. I rented it to a member last summer

Depends when anyone wants to go. I have several bookings already but some space left too.

OTB is great with some excellent prices, we use it all the time & I have booked loads of holidays with them - BUT: they do not offer package holidays, you book the flight & hotel seperately. Even if you book them "together" at the same time they are 2 seperate elements & because of this they are not bound by the same ABTA/ATOL rules as other companies when you book a package deal.

This means that if one part is changed (say the flight is cancelled by the flight operator) then you are still liable for the other part (hotel) - so if you cannot get another flight (at your own cost) then you still have to pay for the hotel!!

In all the years I have used them I have not had one single problem - my girlfriends sister used them on our recommendation & this happened!! Although after contacting customer services she did get it sorted they are not under any obligation to sort anything out!!

Just a point to be aware of - we still use them! :)

Anyway - what sort of budget do you have??

Costa del sol would be ideal Pete. 2 weeks in August up to 25th

Im also looking at the half term week if not available August in October 26th/27th for a week if you can see if its free and how much, then i can look at flights only which isnt so bad.

Cheers

Ive looked at OTB and have seen some good deals, my main issue is not so much budget, ie i dont mind paying for a great holiday, its the price you end up paying for taking kids and something in my head tells me, no bloody way, nearly double in some cases, as they are considered adults as far as price for flights are concerned.

One is 12 and one is 5.

Just came back from 7 days in sunny Salou, great place especially for kids and not bad price either.

Stayed at the H10-Med village in Cap Salou, fantastic and couldn't fault it one bit tbh
