After 2 days of hard graft my plenum is now shiny.........and ive got no fingerprints left!, lol.

Pretty much all done by hand as well! :)

Great job matey, just make sure u keep it polished all the time......... The dreaded corrosion can set in very quickly if u leave it for a while..... Unless u gonna lacquer it in high temp lacquer.

Cheers for the replies guys, took all the rough off it yesterday with abrasive flapwheels in a drill, then progressed with various needle files and about 4 different grades of wet and dry.found the best thing to use with the wet and dry was clean 10w40!........then attacked it with loads of t-cut metal polish.going to leave it bear and keep on top of it as I polished a v6 calibra plenum and laquered it and after a while the laquer yellowed from the heat.

 

Wouldnt do another one unless there was a couple of days wages in it for me! :)
