hey everyone, does anyone out there still have the original emergency flare in their import?

I only ask as i have managed to get one for my z with the holder but don't know where it actually goes.

Any info (and photo's) will be gratefully received. Dave

I think they are illegal in the UK mate. Sure somebody will be along to confirm/denied it.

As above, left hand side pass footwell clipped into a small bracket that everbody kicks when they sit there and the flare rolls around.

 

I also have one in the boot with the tool kit.

 

Not sure they would by much use after 21 years though!

it actually looks like a place for the lady to put her pneumatic drill.

excellent work people, thanks for the answers and pictures. although by the looks of it, the holder i got with my one isn't the right one so if anyone out there still has the holders then i would happily buy them from you :thumbup1:

People may diss the flare but on closer examination - stamped on mine is Nov 1994, another original part that belongs with the car :clap:

Still got mine too, but don't keep it in the zed any longer, who knows what a 16+ year old fire work could do these days.

 

Have been tempted to set it off a few times but again due to its age ive refrained from doing so.

i still haven't managed to fit mine yet as still haven't managed to find an original holder. at the moment its home is the glove box (dangerous i know but my missus don't want me to keep it in the house)

LOL.. I agree with your wife it's no where near are bad if the car goes up in flames.... :)

 

where do they belong... in a bucket of water....

 

and if you want the holder I can try and get it off my car if you like...
