Had a few things on so delayed putting it up but was in the phone tonight and it's getting picked up Friday and took to the bodyshop

Yep we are a bit overdue on a wee meeting. I should have my car back on the road by next week if all goes to plan. Just need an MOT and to get the rear alignment checked. So sometime in the next week or two would be good for me.

Im on 12 hour night shifts just now but im due another night off on the 14th of june.

Its a thursday night.

How does that suit everyone?

If its too far away, we could always arrange two :D

Lol dont think we could manage to fit it in tomorrow night, sounds like a meet at your house next week to watch how its done :).

My zeds off the road too at the moment with getting rear ball joints replaced.

Are you changing the ball joints in the hub or is it the steering joints at the rack that are the issue?

I'd be ok for thursday night - the car's running well and I'm still breaking in the new coilovers

I can meet up tomorrow if you want, but cant stay long, I need to be in Preston for the back of 9 in the morning so it's an early night for me!. We can put it off to next week if you want and see if more people can manage

The Scottish Motor Show.

I suppose tomorrow night's a wee bit short notice for a meet and if you're always clock watching........

We'll see if next week's got any takers then.

Rear Ball Joint; getting a new bush installed to do a hicas bypass.

But the bloody thing wont come out either side now i'm having to take the full knuckle off and get it pressed out.

Issue is now i'm not sure how to do that.

The hard part will be if the driveshaft is tight in the hub, and also the lower ball joint nut is quite tight, the rest is a breeze. You could always remove it complete with the lower arm and the driveshaft, but that would probably make it awkward to operate the press.

I changed one years ago in situ with the aid of a big c clamp and big hammer, but can't remember exactly how I did it. Sounds like as well as hoodies we need to organise a meet at yours :)

lol double trouble then. Easy way out would be to see if Sandy has a couple of rear hubs with good ball joints and change the whole lot over!

Have you tried using anything to press it out, do you want to try with the clamp I used?

Hopefully my zed will be on the road before August so I'm up for any meets after that.

Are their any plans for a convoy to JAE this year? I'd be up for that aswell
