Hi guys, I believe Martin already cleared this with Vodkashots at some point, but we've been so busy with work that neither one of us has had chance to post up here about it!

---------------------

I am pleased to announce that the LakeZ 2012 event has now been confirmed at the Heaves Hotel near Kendal for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the weekend of 30th June.

The venue is very car friendly and hosts many car meets and shows during the year. The RS owners attend with around 200 cars every year and are very well looked after.

There will be a drive out for those that want it. Camping is an option but there are limited rooms at the venue and plenty of other options close by. The cars can be safely left on site to allow those staying elsewhere to have a few drinks.

You will be about 30 minutes from the central lake district so lots of things to do if you want to nip off for a while. Last year many enjoyed the trip on the steam train which connects with the lakes cruises on the saturday. Alternatively there will be a drive out on the Saturday to take in some of the great local roads.

I am hoping that the Scots members may travel down for this as they miss out on many of the big Jap shows down south.

Heaves Hotel Near Kendal Cumbria

The Hotel will be providing light refreshments and snacks during the day. There will be a band performing on the Saturday night and the hotel will be providing a buffet at £6 per head.

Camping for the weekend is £5 per person. Showering faciities and toilets will be provided.

There is a general entry cost of £10 per person for the weekend.

So for those who want to camp the total cost for the weekend will be £21 which includes the buffet (£6) and the band.

For those that dont fancy camping there are plenty of options with a big range of pubs and hotels in the area. I have a local minibus that will transfer people back and forwards at mates rates.

The hotel are happy for you to use BBQs as long as they arent directly on the lawns. You can also bring your own refreshments but please note, dont take your own drink into the hotel for the band on the Saturday night. The hotel bar is very reasonably priced.

The local Asda is only a few miles away.

I look forward to seeing many of you there and hope this is an event that will get established and grow year by year.

Please feel free to register your interest on here and I will update the names list on the first post to save the thread becoming a tedious list of names.

----------------------------------

The format will be very much similar to last year, though a little more refined in places, and hopefully with better weather!

The raffle prizes will be considerably better, and will have some special prizes courtesy of NMGB.

Any questions can be sent to me via PM or email. I will do my best to answer them quickly.

I know this is quite short notice, but it's a cheap weekend and a generally fun one.

Hi Steve,

so it finishes on the 31st? are kids welcome?

Is it possible to come across for just the saturday?

Cheers

Yes to all of those questions. There's a band and stuff on the Saturday night. During the day last year we went on a drive around the lakes... Tbh the drie was far too long and a lot got sick and turned back, which is fine of course.

Some nice cars there, was mainly just 350's and some oldies like steve burns (waiting for a slap off him now lol). But that was all down to the whole divide between us and the zclub which is all sorted now

If you think you will get away with just a slap you are mistaken i would be more worried about the boot landing on those things between your legs if Iwas you if I can catch you:wheelchair:

No worries mate. Will be good. Is the youngster watching MIB yet?

im really loking forward to meeting you all after all this time, hope the weather holds out, Saturday Night should be good, i wont be doing the drive out as the zed has not been fully set up yet...still running the conservative settings Jeff put in ..so tick over etc needs raising slightly...never know some kind sould might help me out at the meet....i prefer to sit and enjoy the scenery when im in the lakes ..besides the missus will want to go shopping for sure :( trying to sort out accomodation at the mo for Sat night ....we will pop along Friday and drive home friday later on as we are only 30 mins away then return early doors Sat

I have datascan mate. I don't really know how to fix the stuff though as I don't know what things should read etc. I'd have though if jeff did the set up then it would be where it needs to be. What else does it new mate?

only really the tick over, which is a bit low for my liking ....still taking it gentle as the engine only has about 50 miles on it .....really could do with a boost controler fitting some time in the future and getting the most out of the set up .....all the trim should have been painted black but wasnt but thats something i will be taking up with the body shop foreman face to face. apart from that its all systems go :) still plenty for me to do to put my stamp on it ....might try and swap the steering wheel for my Momo one when i get there......i can see this all going Pete Tong buddy :) ......dont fancy bringing a parmo down with you do mate......i miss my Parmo's lol

looking forward to seeing the flying pig ..seen pics of it but i just love the real retro z's ...like the Jag xkr they have grown into their body work nicely with the years and look much cooler now than when new.

Would it not be a good thing to run it out though? What's the revs at and where do you want it?

There's an idle control valve at the back right side of the plenum (passenger side). I believe you just need to turn the screw.
