Vacuum blanking..

Hi,

 

Just moved from Wanted section to here.

 

I was given scheme on how to blank "unneeded" vacuum hoses ( cheers to vodkashots).

 

I got few questions: 1st - what is unit in picture below to which pipe connects (circled)

And secondly - if i am correct in my readings - i have to blank pint 1 and 2 on this pipe and point 2 on other side? Also where does pipe 2 goes and what function it serves? What if i dont blank pipe 2?

    pipe 2 in the bottom pic is one of the PCV hoses......goes to the drivers side inlet cam cover.will be one on passenger side in same position.DO NOT REMOVE!!!!!!........its part of the crankcase ventilation system

    they are further along the pipe in pic 2, closer to the turbos than the circled ones in the pic if you know what i mean :).......and obviously one either side.

    So you have a electronic boost controller fitted, if not id leave the pipes for the actuators alone.

    i take it this picture is for lhd? as my boost sensor is on the left side.

    Hmm, i got right hand drive (jap) and i got everything as in picture (more or less)

    Also - if i use simplified vacuum - do i have to use manual boost controller/electronic boost controller or can i keep the stock one for now?
