Hi guys

I've been having what seems to be the standard o'heating probs.Decided to go for a big flush and add redline 'wetter water'.

In the process, found that when engine is hot, the viscous coupling to the fan gets erratic, rough in operation and sometimes stops when at tickover - just when you really want it.

Anyone had this prob Can it be fixed or is it a new coupling thing. if it is, any ideas on cost to buy??

Thanks experts

I've just had mine replaced by SE mate for that very same reason!

It says on the receipt that I got replacement viscous fan exchange(second hander from the SE graveyard) at 40 squids.

Pete R told me that the fan was stiff to turn so was KO'd!!!

Had the top rad hose replaced at the same time and it's been fine since but get it sorted asap mate as we all know what can happen when the oven gets too hot and burns the soufle! wink.gif
