im finally getting my tt back on the road and as ive not been into the 300zx for a while ive a few dumb questions

 

do manual stock turbos fit on a automatic??

 

if they do will manual decat down pipes fit?

as far as i know the auto turbos are just slightly smaller to aid spoil time, and the manuals have slightly more top end, but they are both the same fitment,

 

think the only difference in down pipes is some manual ones don't fit autos as the box gets in the way.

so does fitting decat down pipes cause a prob?

 

mine is a 93 auto and ive just got the engine pulled out,one of cats is fooked due to the blades on 1 of my turbos being fooked up.

 

can you decat a 93 car and pass emisions on a mot??i forget how it works now?? its was 8 years ago when i was into me zeds

You can decat your 93 zed matey, it's anything after 94 that needs to have the cats.

 

manual turbos will fit the auto but it might feel sluggish unless you boot it everywhere you go. The decats will fit man or auto tubs so up to you really.

i couldnt remember as it was a while ago,i was unsure as when i looked on sites to buy a set of decat pipes it says only manual cars only,doesnt fit autos

No worries mate, as mentioned above the fitment issue is with the autobox oilpan sometimes getting in the way. Nothing that a bit of fettling can't solve :)

:taz:They do fit OK but will give you a bit more turbo lag on the auto gear shifts.

:taz:Did your turbos have the ceramic rotor blades like the skylines because I have herd of some 300ZXTT with these turbos fitted .It is not reconmended to set boost pressure above 12PSI on ceramic turbos.
