Hey there need a sincere honest advice; here it goes; when I bought my Z couple years back in Italy the guy whom I bought it from had it completely stock; that is nothing changed except for the fact he had MAK Velano wheels (still does) the rest it´s completely stock originally..well it has the sungard tinted film on the windows..inside nothing has changed; the thing is a while back I am thinking about putting the BC Coilovers to slamm the Z..and I also was thinking about putting the JDM 99 rear lights; and also changing the speedo meter from white to blue leds...and I also has put the red stitched shift knob and handle break;

The thing is.talking to him today after long time I mentioned him I was in the process of installing the coilovers and also the JDM 99 rear lights.and he strongly recommends me to not put these lights since he thinks why change the original stock..cars that are stock and new loose much of their value when you start putting things that are not stock; he says he would just keep it like it is and to think about it...

thing is he´s right on the fact that my Z is totally stock..but now he´s got me all confused cause I can´t denied that slamming the Z would make it look even more beautiful than it is...I am confused what would you guys do in my case??:no:

As long as you keep all the parts that you change you can revert back if you think it has affected the price when you come to sell it on.

slam it, drop the lights out and swap them for GENUINE 99spec rear lights, this keeps it "stock" as they are OEM parts, the suspension wouldn't lower the price as its an improvement, what could change the price is a body kit, wheels, engine upgrades, you have to remember when selling a car on, the more standard it is, the more someone else can mod it to their own preference if they chose to.

Personally its now your car, make your own mind up what you intend to do with it. im not sure what prices are like in Europe with the 300zx, but they are rock bottom here in the UK and do not sell to quick regardless of what's been done to them.

With any 300zx i think the main thing would be how well its been looked after is the most key aspect of selling these cars. but personalise the look too much and you put off potential buyers.

I think the main question you should be asking your self is, Do you want to do it up to sell it? or keep it, if you are keeping it, mod it to your tastes, cars depreciate in value anyway so it really is up to you.

I would leave it stock, probably try and get some stock wheels if it was mine.

Have to say never seen a beige interior before, makes my blue look good LOL.

Looks a really nice Zed by the way.

This is what makes me doubt..on one side my heart says leave it stock; but there is another part of me that says slamm it..people who have their Z slammed and I personally saw them man I have to say they look amazing eye catching!! as far as I´m concern I am keeping the car 4life...I always loved this car and the more times goes by the more I fall in love with it.

Holy shit that's horrid haha. But no I hadn't seen it before.

Answer your question about prices in Europe, I didn't find one for sale for less than £7000 for a standard TT auto. Good quality manuals go for a lot more. This was in Germany by the way.

Really nice Z you have there, first time I've seen it!

The lights will do nothing but improve it, the coilovers can always be set to the same height so appears the same just a better ride :)

if you are keeping it for life, why worry about what others think when you slam that thing, do it mate, if you are worried about resale value, then your heart isnt set on keeping it.

well when you do, get some photos up, i wish i could slam mine but my local town has been invaded by the dreaded speed humps, so its a no go just yet until i move, but soon as i have, my car is getting slammed :D

i think zeds should of been lowered to start with from the factory, as they suit the look perfectly.

Thats an awesome zed mate:bow:the only other pearl green 300 I have seen is Berrica's

Thanks gary...as I said car looks beautiful just as it is..but slamming will make it more impressive. If you ever drop down costa del sol I´ll be glad to show.

i agree, all zeds should be slammed from new! although i too suffer the problem of the dreaded speed bumps down my road, they have already caused damage to my front bumper. but i'm sure once i've stuck some 19's or 20's on it, the problem won't be so bad!

by the way, that is a stunning zed you got there!

Dont you lose the hicas system lowering it? I do preffer the look lowered, but I have too many farm tracks I have to drive up and down, which would make it a silly choice, unless I used Teins with the EDFC.

I think you should leave it as stock buddy......How much do you want for your 99 spec rear lights?......:sneaky2::lol:

No mate, just kidding, as has been said, it is now your car, you put it to the way you want it to look, not what someone else thinks it should look like.:thumbup1:

Where about are you on the Costa??

I have been coming to fuengirola for the last 15 years and the only 300ZX I ever saw was ONCE in Madrid.

That is one seriously nice car..
