Finally got my 350z Brembo calipers on the front of the old girl today and it was very straightforward, just had to drill the mounting bolt holes out from 12mm to 14mm.I purchased the brake conversion off AlanZ which included 350z Track discs (324mm), JSK conversion brackets and standard zed calipers....thanks to Alan by the way for the generous refund for having to get the discs skimmed, much appreciated matey :).....which all worked well but I thought why not fit the 350z Brembos as well!.I had to get 4 14mm caliper bolts from Nissan (nearly £14 for the 4), but the killer was £104+vat for the pad fitting kit!!!.I already had the two spring plates and was just missing the 4 pins....so I told them to stick it and modified 4 standard zed pins (shortened slightly and redrilled the hole for the 'R' clips) and carefully drilled out the 2 holes on the one side of the calipers to allow the pin to go through and they work perfect and look like a factory job.Just got to bed the pads in now :)

Good job! You can sell your brackets now, there was a guy here couple weeks back looking for 350z brackets.

Quick q for ya mate, when you bled them did you do the rears and the ABS box in the boot?

Cheers

no mate, just bled the fronts as didnt touch the rears or let fluid level in the reservior drop.

Nice set of brakes there, they'll make a big difference, now you have to do the rears to match - that is a little more of an engineering challenge!

What did you about the dust shields behind the discs mate?

Fired them off completely, as they werent the best and figured it wouldnt do the brake cooling any harm :)

How are they held on mate? Is it a hammer type job haha

They are a pushfit over the hub carrier and just one half-arsed spotweld, tapped the weld with a sharp chisel to split it and pulled the shield off.

Bled the full system today as the pedal went a bit spongey overnight, got some more air out and all good now :), just got to let the pads bed in but brakes already have more 'feel' than they did before with the standard setup.
