spoke to the man in the know 2day dave buckley he's on this forum somwhere said if your oil level is low then on high boost the engine sucks in oil from somwhere and burns it in the cylinders!!!

lats is the z god no doubt told me to fit uprated breathers and hey! presto no more oil smoke!!! the breathers came with the new turbo technics turbos and i should have fitted them when i had the turbo's fitted!! maybee thats why the rear engine oil seal has gone pressure in the cranccase doh!!!

Redz, don't wish to blow yer bibble here buddy, but just a couple of things about yer posts. "Double rear seals" not heard this one before, i sell turbo's meself and for all nissan's the turbo's i do come with stagger gap race spec rear piston ring seals, cos the system relies on back pressure to keep the seal in place, these do not leak, i assume you have spent upwards of £1,000 for your turbo's, no way should you need to fit a breather kit to maintain pressure on the seals, if your engine rear seal is gone, this kit will not stop the smoking, once it's gone, it's gone... and so needs replacing, not the cheapest job either.

However if turbo seals are leaking, this kit will close them up, TEMPORARILLY.

Might be an idea to get car on ramps and drop the turbo down pipe off to check for any leakage or play in back of turbo.

Just a thought fella, sos

Erm - how old are the turbos??? Smithy is right - the Zed stock crank breather system is perfectly capable...

Sounds like your problem is actually breather related. Could do with replacing the PCV valves, associated hoses with the valves, and the actual breather pipes that come off the top of the rocker covers at the front of the engine... The breather pipes have a gauze filter in them which clogs over time and they stop breathing...

smithy m8 no problem at all, when i bought the turbos from turbo technics i explained i had a de-cat exhaust and that it creates more suction so they agreed to double ring the seals???? not sure what it means probably the ring that holds them in place??

andy the turbos are only 8months old i hope the new breather kit has sorted it ive been thrashing the car since the new breathers and no smoke yet!!!! cheers guys
