There is a ramp for rent near one of my customers, cant say how busy he is but its been there for 2 and a half years I have been doing work for them, I will ask next time I am there, sounds like a good idea.

all depends on price etc the amount of times i thought if i was in the air this woukld be way easier!

Sounds ideal so long as you could make sure enough people knew about the service and it was reasonably priced. Also there's issues with accident liability as you never know what numbskull you may be delivering it to.

been doing my home work on this looks all good can't say to much for obvious reasons watch this space and thanks to vodka & j for letting me get feedback before I start!

when your doing your sums make sure u price in the 6>12 month service it will need for insurance reasons

all so if your doing the ramp Prob do the engine hoist / gear box lift/stand thats just a thought tho

there was a few ppl on ebay that did it but not lately to what i seen when been looking around ...

There was a place near me called 'Your garage'

It was basically a garage with 4 ramps that people could rent. Had plenty facilities, engine hoist etc - just bring your own tools.

I thought it was a great idea and it always seemed busy. I used it myself once.

For whatever reason it only lasted a year

used to be a similar place in Leeds some years ago and as previously said was always busy had to book well in advance used it myself quite often

Hi guys

Wow this is really taking off in a big way discount to where my heart is here!!

Anybody got ideas what they would be willing pay to use this service at the weekend and week day if at all?

has anybody else tried and hire a engine hoist before

I have got from my local tool rental place, cost me £29 for the weekend. Only needed it for twenty minutes in the end..

Just out of interest mate, what sort of ramp are you on about? I'm a bit confused. lol

think u may have a Problem with that type

as you can not work on the middle section of the car ?
