Hi,

Is there a particular visual feature on the car from which you can tell if the ZX your looking at is a Twin Turbo or Not?

Slighter wider rear wheels is about the only other difference I think, and that might be hard to spot. Depending on what access you've got, you could look for a turbo gauge on the speedo, or pop the bonnet and look for the Twin Turbo badge on the engine.

I thought the N/A had no rear spoiler, no 4 wheel steering (Hicas).

The cover over the throttle cable has the middle nissan bit in black as apposed to red for TT's. On the left (if you are facing the engine from the front) throttle body it should say Twin Turbo.

I am sure there's more.

The TT has a different front spoiler; having extra air-ducts to feed the intercoolers.

Hi,

The most obvious visual clue from the outside is the front spoiler. The NA has a different shaped one without the air slats at each corner, the TT's have these slats for their intercoolers.

However, some people have changed the spoiler for a TT type, or an aftermarket one.

The rear spoiler was an option on the NA, and so some cars may have them....same with hicas. All import cars have the same size stock wheels, wether TT or NA...only US and UK spec. TT's had the larger width wheels.

Inside the biggest clue is the turbo boost gauge, inset into the speedo dial on TT's

/gets his coat in preparation/

*ahem* the NA is the one you see in your rear view mirror from the TT?

/gets his coat and tootles off in his 309GTI muttering something about not being able to find a TTmanual bloody anywhere grumble grumble I might as well get a GT4alltrac or sodding LegacyGT or T5R/

.... actually guys on a serious note... I've tried loot and at.co.uk and ixm.. cant find a ZTTmanual anywhere for around £7000.. if anyone knows of pukka one for sale would you mail me on glenlewis@newyorkcity.com or 07968586039 cellphone,

Peace and lots of booZt..

Glen

Hi glen !

It just so happens that I know of a REALLY tidy TT-manual, currently on offer 'slightly' under your budget of 7k.

She's got a chocolate leather interior, CD stereo unit, nice alloys/tyres and a pearlessent finish...though for an extra 1 - 1.5k (depending on the alternatives) that could easily be changed.

About 50,000 miles... though unbelievably, just one look at her would make you think it could have been less. she's clearly been cared for by a loving owner.

To be honest I wanted her for myself... but for obvious reasons she's not going to be available long, and it doesn't look like I'll find a buyer for my NA in time. :o(

She's in Japan so the 2 - 3 month wait might be too much for you.... but if not, she's definately worth a look.

If interested, mail me and I'll send you a couple of shots.

If it helps, the car is an import???

If you can have a look under the bonnet - how many air-intake related pipes are there? Turbo has 3. Another more subtle difference with the pipes is that the one going into the plenum is soft rubber on a turbo and harder plastic on an NA.

CheerZ,

Andy

Glen, have you tried Autotrader's site? A national search of trade ads for 300's under £8k just turned up 33 hits. This is how I found mine.
