OK, so how do you check for an injector pulse?

Stick a metal bar against it and stick your ear on the other end.

i did that, it ticked, but then the whole injector rail ticked. and since then ive been told that the ticking doesnt actually mean anything.

 

Is there a way to test it electronically?

Now, if you only had a ConZult box of tricks (and NO this is not a sales ploy!)

 

Let me know (via e-mail) where you're based and I will see if I can pop over with one and have a look for you. Two minute job to see which injectors are functioning and what the pulse frequencies are.
