After receiving my new quotation from adrian flux and almost dying of heart failure.

I would like to know who REALLY is the best company to go with for our zeds when IT YOUR ONLY CAR.

I know most will have there's on a classic 2nd car policy but I would like to hear from those that have it as there daily driver with all mods declared.

What price are you paying with what mods?

Mine is a 1990 uk manual tt

8yrs ncb, aged 34

mods declared are

Fmic

larger radiator

short shifter

Excedy clutch

lightened pulley wheel

full stainless exhaust

Hks hypermax coilovers

uprated brake disks

19"axis wheels

Bomex side skirts

Stillen headlight panel

Aftermarket front bumper

rear high level spoiler.

My price comes out at £1080.50yr

5000mile a yr, fully comp.

That's double what it was before!!.

I thinks its just gone crazy.

Dave from Footman James said on here the other week that you don't need to own a second car to get a policy - you just have to have ACCESS to another car, being a named driver on a relative/partners policy is fine...with Footman James anyway.

I used flux for 2 years then it went threw roof try Lynbrooks beat fluxes hands down.

All mods declared , limited miles though £277 , that,s with Graham Sykes Limited and i,m 46

£190'odd fully comp with Lynbrook though I'm gonna' have to list a garage full of mods in the next few weeks and that'll pretty much blow my cover so I'm going down the trade policy next I think....

I use mine as a daily driver and my business takes me all over the UK. I do around 15K miles per year and have class 1 business use, full no claims and am 45 years old. My TT has HKS twin air intakes, a japspeed cat back exhaust, poly bushes, wolfrace alloys with spacers and uprated breaks from ZedWorld. All mods are declared and my insurer is Admiral costing me £405 per year for fully comp. Hope this helps, I found them brilliant and very accomodating of the mods.

Yep i'm with Admiral as well and can vouch for them, though I am on a multi car policy and have a daily driver. I'm sure the Z was about £240 as a second car with none of the restrictions that classic insurance normally has. Being an old git (46) does help a bit as well :).

Will give the ones mentioned a call tomorrow.

Fjames can't cover me for some reason, so that's one out.

Have you tried contacting Dave from here directly? Seems to be a common problem when you phone but he can sort it out for you. Termsure gave me a very good quote for a modified vehicle.

Dave tried himself for me 8wks ago, and couldn't help me.

Don't know why tho as they seem to do good deals or people.

You would think that 8yrs ncb, and a clean licence and not a young boy racer I could get a reasonable quote.
