Was there just one type of Tokico BMC on the Zed? The one I have has BM57 on it.

 

The reason I ask is that I've traced a problem with my brakes down to one seal on the BMC being misshapen. Rather than buy a s/h bmc 'dI much rather get the oem service kit. The one Z1 sell is for a tokico 1" diameter internal bore.

yeah there were 2 types iirc. buts thats all i know about them.

I can check the code tomorrow on my cylinder,

I used big red on eBay and the kit was about 12quid delivered I think.

If we have the same code then they will have the seals.

I asked bigg red and they don't have a seal kit for the Z32, they do for the z31 though?

Maybe I bought z31 kit and there the same size seals.

Bought it on eBay, master cylinder kit 300zx.

 

If not think I have couple of cylinders in the garage could send u the seals or cylinder. For free.

been looking for 2hrs for these cylinders, even went through one of those sand ton bag things got outside full of crap from garage floor and can't find one anywhere I must have thrown them last time I had a clear out.

 

Really sorry for messing you around.

 

Can't see why I would throw them, bet I find them soon, my garage is full. And there be tucked up somewhere I know it.

Thinking about it they sent me 4 seals and only the main 2 on shaft were right the other 2 I threw away. So must of been z31..

 

Can't they measure the 2 shaft seals or send pic of what they look like.

I did use the z31 biggred kit but when I was bleeding the brakes the pedal suddenly went straight to the floor and wouldn't build any pressure up. I took the bmc apart as I thought a seal had popped and one of the seals on the first piston had gone an oval shape.

 

I'll place a wanted add and get a s/h bmc.
