I recently complained to a courier over the loss of an item. They sent me an apology letter and a cheque which I was happy about. Thing is I have just received the same apology letter and get this 'the same cheque'. What would you do? :innocent:

Its a no brainer for me... cash it.

and before you moaners get the wrong idea of my honesty... I found a purse outside a shop yesterday, luckily my partner was outside with the baby waiting, and she recalled seeing an old lady moving some stuff around in her bag just a few minutes earlier. We guessed which shop she had gone into, and with a brief description I went looking, found her, and she gave us a pound for the baby's moneybox as a thankyou :)

Spend it, Ive been done so many times by the couriers... they deserve to be hit.. if your conscience wont let you.. charity and if they ask for it back tell em what you did...

If it was the situation like Baz described and it was somebody else's hard earned cash I'd give it back. But a big national company? Pfft better off in my pocket!

cash it then when it clears send them a letter asking where your refund is as you haven't recived it yet!!! :)

I'd phone them up. They may wish you well and let the check stand as admin error and let you cash it in the hope to secure your future business. Guilt free cash!

-if they want it returned I'd counter & I would destroy it. Nothing lost.

Talking.. so much better than writing (gulp!)less chance of a slip and things are instantly clearer I have found.

Depends if you believe in any of that heaven and hell crap. I'd cash it if it was me, more bad things have happened to me than good so it would be nice to get things a bit more balanced out lol

To be honest for £32 I'd just cash it and be done with it mate.......

......it's too small an amount for them to be bothered about; and if they do realise later and ask for it back, £32 isn't going to be a problem to repay (even if you have spent it by then). You just apologise and say that your wife must have banked it for you without knowing you had already received the previous payment!

Courier companies aren't the best people to deal with when it comes to getting compensation for failed or damaged deliveries - their Ts & Cs usually provide you with very little protection if they break something in transit - so make the most of this occasion!

No-one will judge you for banking an extra £32. Unless someone who works for their accounts department drives a 300zx, is a member on here and notices this thread of course.......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
