April 11, 201213 yr As the title suggests, I'm after a replacement clutch for a 1992 UK Spec TT Z32. It seems a real minefield out there with the variants, but I'm just after a standard spec clutch kit to fit my car. Also any pitfalls when removing the gearbox would be much appreciated :) Thanks in advance.
April 11, 201213 yr Best bet for a standard clutch is MJP. Don't forget to block off the rear of the gearbox when you drop it, or you'll pour oil everywhere, apart from that it's pretty straight forward changing the clutch :) HTH
April 11, 201213 yr I bought standard Nissan clutch from z centre, You can buy each part seperate. on my car I had the boost a bit higher and it was wearing the centre plate out, but the rest of the clutch kit was still like new so ended up buying just the centre plate around £80 from memory. Point I was getting at lol is at z centre u can buy each part seperate and on mine centre plate could be changed without worrying about other bits. The box is easy to remove, only problem I ever had was on my cousins Zx was the bolts for the exhausts snapped which was a pain had to drill them and use nuts and bolts. Goodluck mate.

Terry: Is yours a UK spec? I'm tempted to change the whole lot whilst I'm at it...
April 12, 201213 yr Uk/jap spec clutches are both the same mate, mine was a uk car but rebuilt it with jap spec shell. Buy the lot if you can, only mentioned buying each part seperate, at the time money was hard and got me out of trouble.
April 12, 201213 yr Also if this is the first time you've changed the clutch it would make sense to check the release bearing for wear. The clutch fork and pivot ball should also be checked as the pivot ball can wear out and crack.
