Just fitted a fuel pressure sensor into my fuel line and it's **** leaking up the screw threads. Any ideas ????

a tight rubber washer? not much will stop petrol :(

Looks like a trip to my local B & Q then as I have already tried to injector seals with no joy ptf tape which just melt lol so a tap washer sounds about right, I will take a pic now

wrong info given.

As I have said plumbing tape melts and I have no choise with the fitting as it screws together any way heres a few pics and I have just got back from B&Q but its to dark now to carry on so an early start to see if this works any better

get some rubber o rings .. thats the only other thing i can suggest

Looks like you need crush washer, that should sort it.

 

Ignore my post above, I thought it was a rubber valve type insert thingy. ooops.

There are 2 rubber O rings on now but no joy so I have just been and got some tap washers which I need to drill out a little which I will try tomorrow and if this works all good but if not it will be back to the drawing board

OR you could just get a suitable crush washer......

Take it off and weld/solder it???

It might come down to that and were can I get hold of a crush washer the size I need

No sure if welding is an option with the gap being so close as it might mess the sensor up :( been searching ebay for more adapters might try a few different ones if i cant sort this one

B&Q do them, just take the sensor with you. You want one that is just a bit bigger internally than the thread and sits flush on the outside with the nut. It's hard to say what size you need but they are all pretty much standard, so you should be able to get one.

Thanks to everyone for all your input, I will let you know how it goes

Right I got up nice and early this morning found my drill and a 10 mm bit slightly modified the rubber washer I got fro B & Q and so far so good. NO leaks so I have filled the tank **** me it took £96.00 so change of cloths quick coffee and off to the east coast for a bit of a run
