Pretty sure this is an open secret as a few members know by Facebook and PM. And it doesn't take a genius to work out why I have been selling all my parts off. It hurts typing this, which is silly as it's only a car but my Slicktop was written off a couple of months back.

Buying the MR2 has eased the pain :mad2: but only a little.

Didn't take loads of pics for obvious reasons, but here are a couple. Doesn't look too bad in the pics but you don't have to be too bright to work out the repair cost with new parts to know why it was declared a write off.

This thread is not a discussion about me buying it back, doesn't look too bad, easy repair etc, etc. It is just so you know what happened. I loved that car and spent a fortune getting it somewhere near what I wanted. The wheels I have put on my MR2 would have been perfect, along with an Alcantara interior. That was as far as I wanted to go.

Anyhow I would like to thank everyone for the welcome and help I've had over the last couple of years, it's been fun. I have met some nice people and there are lots on here I would have liked to have had a beer with :cowboy:

Regrets?? Not meeting more of you and not getting to JAE. Wish more of you had seen it in the metal. Really was as good if not better than it looked in the pics.

Thanks again and thanks for reading :sleep1:

Yep I have seen this car in the flesh and I so gutted for you mate. It was a peach and was one of my favorite Z's.

The MR2 is nice too. Looks like ababy Z.

Any chance you can return my call by the way?

Andy

I found out the other day and i was gutted to see the other pic :(

you were always thinking of selling it anyway so every cloud and all that if you got a good payout.

Oh yeah black with tbars rule over anything else :cool3:

Yep me too. Didnt know anyting about it.

I have seen this car... It was veryvery nice.

As alrady said.. no need to say goodbye. Plenty on here dont have a Zed anymore but still contribute to a good forum/club.

Gutted for you Daffy, as you know this was my fave Zed, was really hoping to see it in the flesh. Glad you weren't hurt tho x

Arh gutted. I had no idea!

I thought your were just selling off things you didn't need, manual conversion etc.

stupid question time, have you had the front bumper off and the wings to assess the damage under it, it actually looks repairable to be perfectly honest with you, new wings, new bonnet, new front bumper, replacement lights, if there isnt much under lying damage i thing a once over respray and that could be saved. would be a shame to lose it to the scrappers :(

Gutted mate, what happened? I had no idea. Really sorry for you bud, all owners nightmare that. No need to leave tho' mate, we'll still talk to you :smartass:

PS. Your right about t tops and black tho'

Thanks for the kind words guys. Appreciated :cool3: Makes it all fresh again though  I might well come and join you at JAE though, be nice to have a few beers.

I dunno what your all waxing lyrical about... It was a shoddy example, rough as old boots, and Daffy is a knoblet!!! (like a twiglet, but in the shape of a knob!)
