finally plumbed it in

well had a day off today so thought id actually get around to fettling with my EBC, id already wired it in, but was yet to plumb in all the vacuum hoses.

God what a nightmare lol, thought id give the engine a polish while i was in there with all the pipes off.

well what can i say, think i need to set it up correctly now, god it boosts fast and hard though im yet to push it as im scared . ive left the OEM boost solenoids in place and left them plugged in as well, but ive removed my OEM boost controller box type thingy, as it wasnt doing anything anyway, didnt even give me a boost gauge movement on the OEM dash one.

have you done all the deletes like i have? if not going to be a bit harder for you, mine has all the deletes so easier to do it, just a pain in the ass with routing the tubing so it looks nice.

I have no idea tbh, your ment to have the pipes that go to the cats etc but mine never did. so i dont have a clue

According to the instructions it looks the same plumbing as mine.

1. Take the two lines from the actuators and connect them to a T piece. Then connect that to port 2 on the ebc valve.

2. Then take the two vac lines coming from the turbo hard pipes (the one that has a Y connector on it and connects to the boost solenoid) Pull them off and connect another set of lines and another T piece. Connect this to port 3.

Can't remember if you then have to blank off anything but it'll become obvious when you take the boost solenoids off.

HTH mate :)

thats how ive done it, though i do not have the egr valve, the prvr solenoids or the avi solenoid or carbon canister, so mine is basically the same set up as this diagram

though i also do not have my boost sensor installed either as it didnt work to start with. not sure if that has any effect or not, i also followed jefftt's recommendation of leaving the standard boost solenoids in place and plugged in and just linked the pipes that go to the throttle body pipes to the boost controller solenoid.

them diagrams seem so easy to follow, I've had an AVCR for a couple of years sat on the shelf, will definately be fitting it soon - doesnt seem half as daunting as I first thought.

when looking at the car its a bit "whaaa?" but when you have that diagram handy its a piece of cake, just annoying when trying to figure out the best place to route the vac hoses.
