I'm going to be giving the zed a wash tomorrow with some zymol shampoo. The car was resprayed professionally in November in 2pac and I was wondering if it would be safe to give the car a wax as well? I've heard that you shouldn't wax a car for ages after a respray, pretty sure I read somewhere that mentioned six months.

I've got some meguires carnauba (sp.?) wax for it. So would it be Ok to wax as well or should I just leave it for a while longer?

cheers

You'll be fine mate, I always allow 6-8 weeks on fresh paint so you are well in the clear.

yeah it is mate, I used it on my oil burner today and was very impressed with the results. Hadn't washed it for two years and it's shinning now :)

Used some autoglym Fast Glass on the windows and was amazed at how good it was as well..

Pics to follow (assuming I actually get off my arse and do it.lol)

The wax side of things is as wax seals it, if any of the solvents that should evaporate as part of the curing process get trapped, you can end up with blemishes etc....
