anybody else watching it

my beef with this is..how many children in britian are homless..live in abusive homes..suffer from sever poverty...yet theyr main videos are about african nations...dont get me wrong i feel for these ppl i really do..and i realise theyr goverments arnt doing nearly enough..but with so many ppl in our own home nations living beneth the poverty line should we not be trying to help them first..i mean it must be galling being a homless child/teen/adult seeing this(albeit from theyr probably not gona see it coz they dont have a home)..

also i find theyr choise of guest quite sickening one direction give me a break they got found on a sh098y talent show made millions..how many of them have put theyr millions in to aid these ppl...i would go on but i think it would verg on major rant

I'm not watching it mate.....

.....but I am of the opinion that charity begins at home as well. Sure, I do feel for the children in third world countries, but with Europe and the USA in financial turmoil; combined with our government still churning out foreign aid like they have an endless supply of cash, it's time to concentrate on the needy in our own country.

Personally I'd put a stop to all foreign aid until we have our own situation in order. Harsh I know - but needs must when the devil vomits in your kettle.

well said richard

im not against forien aid but the presenters are crying over clips from africa..how about showing the kids on our own streets living homless getting picked up introduced to drugs/alcohol then getting abused by scumbags..i meant theyv raised more than 15million..im sur a % of that will go to brittish foundations and organisations..but its not nearly enough

Sport relief provides charity for both UK and overseas. I'm not sure what the split is, it may be 50/50, or it could go either way. It certainly a hell of a lot worse in many of the other countries though.

I dont agree with the high amounts of Foreign aid the Government spends, but I have no issue volunteering my money to Large charities like Sport relief/comic relief for international aid.

As for guests,..you want the highest viewer count then you get the popular artists of today.....I have no idea if or how much they personally donate, do you ?

no yoweser im not trying to put it down.i do honestly agree with giving aid to forieng contries..

my beef is the fact that theyr are only showing the plight of other contries rather than our own plight..you can understand that cant you

Just asked the Missus as she sat watching it...She said the money is supposed to be 50/50 split between UK and the rest, but other than the first video they showed tonight (which had her crying) the rest have been Africa

my daughter told me she is doing sport relief. Apparently she is being pushed in a supermarket trolley for a mile and expecting £2.50 from me :w00t:
