Always nice to start a new project.

Will be keeping an eye on this one!

It is indeed mate , once iv got my bodywork done i will just be focusing on one mechanical job at a time :(

:)

seen this on ebay. I wana paint my roof bars black too and get the back window tinted, think it looks great! Might have to come and take a look, in Wirral too, in Prenton.

Looks a tidy zed to start a project on.Whats the main problems with it?.:thumbup1:

It's red, not on the road yet though. Bought it a few months ago from a guy in rock ferry (was on ebay), need a new spoiler and wanna get the interior refurbed, desperate to get it on the road for the summer!

yeh that sounds like it mate. spoiler was bubbling, slight bit of rust on the t-tops. There's some pictures on my profile page i think.

Ken, out of interest, what spray equipment (if any) did you use and what paints/lacquer's etc (i see a pipe so i guess its from a compressor)

(for the techie geeks out here...)

No probs pal , i only use 2k (2pak) paints this was clear over basecoat . and i would normally use an oven for a big job ! however if you know what your doing u can get away with spraying outside it will.just require more flatting and buffing !

my compressor is 2.5hp and eases jobs like this and with experiance u learn wer to let the comppressor run out of puff and let it build up air and have a dry patch (polishable later)!! for example ... my comp wud not have coped well if i was going to paint the door and wing together as you cant really stop half way through a panel !!

my gun id devillbiss gti pro !

so sorry its difficult to explain this painting lark lol theres more to it than people wud think and all painters have there own ways and ideas i suppose !
