Have just had prices through for the above said stereo gear! Shock horror, how expensive, but I suppose if you want the best you have to pay for it! GULP!

Mr Del Boy, come up with the goods, I am looking at the MD-45z...24-bit D/A with 4x43W amplifier (amber/green) at the princely sum of £800 green.

£799.99 pence to be exact, do it cheaper and I will buy you a villa in Spain as a reward.

HELP, need this cheaper...

Johnny, you da man...

I was gonna get one of these babies, but I can't be arsed to do an install in my cheesey 309GTI - got some lovely ICE in it but my heart aint in it... now I'm on the hunt for my Zed....

Still its kinda appealing being able to cram 160 tunes on a CD that costs 17p and sticking that CD in a head unit and forgetting about it!!!

Glen,/heading off to Autotrader.co.uk to run yet another search for 300+Turbo+Manual...../

kenwood and alpine are the way to go ure nakamechi stuff is only for you audiophiles out there and not really suited to the acoustic traits of the z and just a head unit alone isnt going to be enough you need amps and not the shitty one that comes with the car get yourself down to bob or sq+ and lob 1400 watts in the beast lol

you boys... get the real deal ;)

i have 150 ALBUMS (2000 tracks) of music in my car, with space for more...

another hard disk, and i'm ready for an EXTRA 300 albums....

none of this sony or nakacheapy stuff... lol

it might hold a lot of tunes but it aint gonna play you hardcore porn dvds lol

heh.. true, but none of the other units will either......

we're talking music ;)

now.. you could store all those dvd's on the empeg and play them if you had a pc in the car....

unless anyone wants to hack the linux kernel and add screen output and codecs onto my machine for me ?

Sure Craig, send it to me ! ;-)

I'll compile a new kernel for you with support for DVD,DivX,Video4Linux, IR, GPS, speedradar-detection, boostcontroller, selectable JWT programs, racelogic, TWOC-destroyer and ejectable seats.

Anything else ? :P

Nice one Craig. You tell em. Nakamichi my arse.

Empegs rule (got one this Saturday). Only got the 10gig at the moment but I'm sending it back for another 20GB.

I'd be interested in a kernel that could detect a speed camera and quickly switch my reg plate over to "UP YOURS".;-)
