is the starter engauging the flywheel? i knwo it sounds silly but you havent used the na flywheel with the tt box? i would think youve missed an earth though, i did this on an old car. soon as i conecterd up the earth boom off it went.

Just to be clear,

is the engine turning over, or just the starter motor spinning up?

No just starter motor spinning, engine is not turning over at all.

I got tt flywheel and my starter from tt. So where the engine connects with a earth? Is that wire which are coming from - batery connects to engine block and that to gear box?

earth for engine and gear box bolts to the Left 2nd bolt down on gear box and then about half way up on the main block of the engine

if the starter motor is wizzing around but engine isnt turning over then some thing isnt right with the Flywheel starter motor ..

you sure its a TT flywheel ?

Yes mate 100% that is tt flywheels its main.

Well does anyone know does the starter have enought power to turn over the engine if is no exploding power in the engine i mean only if the starter turning the engine?

And why that i took out spar with coilpack connected with wire. Tryed to start engine and there was no spark.

you wont get a spark unless the engine is turning over ..

does the starter motor just Click or does it Sound like its making a Wizzing/whirring sound

Definitely are making wizzing sound. What do you think thats can be. I connected with my

Other car desiel i put some shity battery in. May be its not have enought power to spart the engine?

I remember i heard the same sound before i car was running but that was low battery problem. May be this time is the same?

if the Starter Motor is Wizzing its not your Battery or Power or Spark

to me on what you have said

Starter motor is not Seated correctly on the gearbox or

you have the wrong Flywheel fitted ...

the reason i said fly is the NA one is smaller and will not Mesh gears with the TT starter motor

Yes i know that na flywheel is smaller. I had this engine and flywheel on my other zed. Starter motor is main as well. I Refited starter motor but is the same shit.

But i still cant understand why is no fire in the spark then i took out for test and tried to start engine. I think its should be i am wrong?

Thay will be no spark untill the engine starts to turns over

Sonstaryer motor have enought power to turns engine over on own, even if fueling and sparks doesnt work?

Sounds like a faulty starter motor to me,

Maybe that the pinion roller clutch is damaged or the reduction gear assembly is faulty.

Can you try a known good starter motor?

Also, worth double checking the wiring to the back of the unit.

the starter motor is known to be working from what he said post's above ...

the Bendix part of the starter motor my not be working right

Just to clear a few things up

If the battery hasnt got enough charge to turn the engine, but enough power to put lights on your dash, you will hear a clicking sound rather than the starter motor whirl

If the starter motor is engaging but no spark the engine will still turn over as long as there is enough charge in the battery

It does sound more like either, starter motor isnt engaging on the fly wheel, or the starter motor is fecked. first thing id do is change starter motor as thats the easiest bit to change. if that fails, then the gear box has got to come off as i think you have got the fly wheels mixed up at some point and put the N/A fly on instead of the TT one.

The car is obviously getting power other wise the starter motor wouldnt even make a sound so power isnt the issue just yet.

So first port of call is the starter motor. next would be the fly wheel if changing the starter fails to turn the engine.

Thank you guys, i got another startter motor j will try to put new one and refit that.

But you see i still got problems with alternator loom. I have auto loom and th car was manual. All plugs is the same only one plug with gearbox sensors but i think this is have nothing to do with engine start is that right?

if the starter motor is trying to rotate the engine, then its not the loom that is the issue.

If it was, there would be no power to the starter.

the Loom is about 95% the same on both cars .. just with the added bits for Auto

the starter motor/alt are the same

Hang on have u done the Netrual ( park ) switch if your car was Auto and now Manual ...

as the Starter motor will not work if u havent done the Mod ..

the Wizzing sound could be your fuel pump

Is there any chance youve refitted the tt flywheel the wrong way round as it would miss the teeth of your starter motor if you have.

would thought it be hard to fit the wrong way as its Shaped different and the clutch place wouldn't sit on it right due to holes in odd place

I am working now on my car and i found a problem. My manual gearbox is na connected to tt engine. I heard before that starter needs some spacers becaus as we know na flywheel is smaller.

How many mm spacers i need to do proper job?

thats only if fitting a NA gearbox to a TT engine, also you would need to shave off some of the inside of the bell housing to accommodate the TT fly wheel, have you stuck a NA gearbox on the TT then? if so, the engine might not be turning due to the flywheel hitting the gearbox housing if you havent shaved that piece off.
