removing spoiler

Has anyone got any advice on how to remove an original spoiler?

Or is it just a case of applying heat and trying to pull it off? I wasn't sure if there are screws holding it on.

So far I've only managed to break the ends off.

Removed mine last week, it came off quite easily but left loads of sticky crap!.got the clip holes welded and the tailgate respray as the paint under the spoiler was yellow.

You will find it easier to remove the spoiler if you break off the six plastic fixing clips from inside the boot lid. Use a long screwdriver or chisel. You may then find that the spoiler will lift away without needing to cheese wire the adhesive strip on the leading edge.
