Corner weighting

I've just had my suspension adjusted, the car cornerweighted and tracked today to try and make it handle like it should. I've only done about 3 miles in it since it was done but wow what a difference..

Anyway the paperwork with my car now has stated an all up weight of 1353KG which seems low, could it be right?. That would have been without a driver and perhaps 1/3 tank of fuel. Its a standard (ish) TT manual slicktop.

A/C has been removed + carbon canister and the weight in the boot lid (lol) No cruise, airbag, manual heating controls and only 1 electric seat.

Any thoughts?

The whole job cost me £120 at a place local to me called RSM. Dave, the owner, looks after forumula fords during race season etc he is old school etc but does a good job.

It does sound a bit low but could easily be right. Mine's weighing in at a bit more than that. I saved weight by removing the usual and a massive saving by installing carbon seats. Also my wheels are about as light as it gets. Corner weighting definitely helps with handling :)

Ah right, what did yours come in at then? Was that with a driver or not?

I drove the car back to my parents this morning and it felt 100 times better even at low speeds in traffic etc. Well impressed!

Did your ride height between front and back change noticeably after this?

Well I asked him to sort out the ride height as after a complicated series of events, wrong parts and stupid garages the car had ended up too high at the front and too low at the back, plus it had a 15* list on the steering wheel.

Low and behold after Dave had put it all right the steering wheel is cock on centre and its just looks better and drives like it always should have done. Its been a long long time since i've actually felt a real urge to go and drive the car but I have that at the minute! Annoying that its at my parents!
