As some know, i work for a housing association as a plumber, builder etc. One of my jobs is clearing out houses after tenants have been evicted, basically from the date of possession order they are given 7 days to remove their items, anything that remains after this time is classed as rubbish.

Whilst clearing out a house today, i found some keys to the garage of the house, upon opening it up. To my amazement, amongst the rubbish was a Orbea mans racing bike. Its looks like its never been ridden. it has all the serial numbers and stickers, and is a sapphire blue frame. As i went to lift it, it weighs no more than 2 or 3 kgs, to say its super light is and understatement. tiny thin racing tyres, everything works and is in near perfect condition. Thinking it was nicked, i called a copper mate of mine, and there is no trace of the serial number.

Work said to me it is classed as rubbish, so if you want it, its yours. I took if for a quick ride to check the gears (which are built into the handlebars, not like a normal bike) and it absolutely fly's,

im more of a mountain bike man, but after looking on ebay, similar bikes are going for nearly £2000.

Anyone know much about racing bikes.

will put up a piccie later.
