Well, after getting an awesome deal on my insurance a couple of days ago, at 12:00am this morning, I was straight on the DVLA website and taxed her, and went for my first real drive in her after almost 6 years of graft, and it was epic :)

Battery had been off for a while, so she was still learning, and after about 20 or 30 miles, she really woke up, I was expecting some teething problems, but nothing really, well, my radio without the front on it would snap crackle and pop, and ghostly static and noises would come out of one speaker when I went over a bump (which shit me up, as it first sounded like something breaking), an annoying rattle on the drivers A pillar trim, wind noise from the drivers wing mirror (which are heated too as I found out, on a JDM, bonus), and a slight road vibration between 40-50, but everything before and after that speed it smooth as silk, but I have had off all the rear end, new ball joints, and I only tracked it up by eye, do you reckon alignment will sort that out, I know it needs doing? Oh, and my speedo has a major trauma over 60 and gives up, pretty sure it's the converter behind the clocks...

All in all, a damn fine result, and seriously meaty even running stock boost, happy chappy :)

I imagine the shakiness is wheel balancing. But I would suggest getting it all tracked up properly to make it drive better and reduce Tyre wear.

Yeah, off the road for almost 6 years, bought it thinking it had a knackered turbo, turned out to big a hole in a piston, and that was just the teeny tiny tip of the iceberg, and yep, well chuffed, got my first 'Nice car mate!' today at the traffic lights :)
