I've been changing over the tt power steering pump for a n/a one.

I see the pulley wheels dont line up, but has anyone managed to make a tt pulley fit the na pump and line up properly??.

If so what size shimmy would make it fit the correct alignment to the lower pulley wheel?.

I know it would be easier to simply get a 3pk belt, but was just wondering if it could be done, lol.

i believe you nee dto change the mounting bracket, this will then pull the pulley in further and it will line up. or you can simply tak ethe tt pump apart and remove the fins from teh rear section and put some blanks into the outlet as this would have fed your hicas. easy peasey. hardest bit is getting the damn pump back in the bracket. theres an exploded view in the service manual if your unsure what im talking about.

Thats a interesting thread.

Which measurement was the final correct one to have them align properly again?

I take it from your thread that you put the tt pulley on backwards?.

yes i did put the pulley on backwards, i calculated the difference and so i could still have the pulley driven from the spline i made a spacer which took up the difference between the backward pulley and the correct alignment

just get a belt that says pk3 dave mate. job done well that way. coudn't get to the car tonight to check belt numbers. they are same size belt but one is pk3 the other pk4.

I just used the NA pump and bracket with the TT pully on and works fine no faffing or mods to do
