What's the best paint for my windscreen trims?

As you'd expect, the windscreen trims etc on my zed are all showing their age and damn new ones are expensive!

I'm sure someone would have refurbed theirs before. What paint so I use?

Currently doing the scuttle trim but I wanna do all the window/roof trims and the wiper arms.

Well I'll be taking all the trims off and doing them in the shed. Should be fine there. Thanks for the advice. Couple cans of that stuff just ordered.

I've given up on Plasti dip, I find it's to easily scratched and just peels off. I used a standard satin black rattle can and was pleased with the results.

Oh no Steams! Don't say that to me now! :\

sorry mate, but it's been nothing but grief for me lol. I did my scuttles in plasti dip and they look great. But it was a right pain doing the metal work. i.e. wipers etc. I found it was hard to keep clean, damn near impossible to get it to spray without blobbing and you can't sand it. In the end I gave up with and just used a normal rattle can, which looked great when done.

I covered mine in carbon vinyl on the slickie and am gonna spray them on the tt with normal primer and basecoat and see how it comes out

Did you use their primer too, will peel like a banana if not. Came out pretty smoothly when i used it on my scuttles, but needs to be sprayed in a warm environment too.

Also needs to be sprayed in thin coats to build.

I won't for sure!-as Steamy says it's shite!-Scuttles come up nice with Satin Black.....................

I did mate, I used to rate it but it just isn't as durable and easy to use as they say. I kept getting blobs from the can and it would ruin the whole piece. Got fed up with it so gave in.

Scuttle trim I got sorted with some other paint and that's going well. It's just the metal trim I need sorted now.
